Wedding Photography Frequently Asked Questions

We love your photography! How do we book you?

First, contact us with your date and wedding location so we can check our availability. If we are available then we will connect to schedule a consult. Great photography starts with great connections and we want to spend a little bit of time getting to know you. We want to hear all about your wedding plans and make sure we provide you with the right package. From there, we write-up the our contract.

How far in advance do we need to book?

Because we only accept a limited number of clients each year, you should book as soon as you are able.  We book as far out as two years in advance.

How much are your wedding packages?

Our packages range between $2,600 and $6,000 depending on the options you need for your wedding.  Our most popular package is $4,200 and includes 10 hours of coverage with two photographers, a complimentary engagement session, custom engraved USB, and an heirloom-quality wedding album.  Every wedding is unique and we customize our packages to suit your needs.  Click here for more information.

How much is your deposit?

We require a $1,000 booking fee at the time of signing.  This payment locks in your date and is deducted from the total amount owed.  Booking fees are non-refundable. The balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding date.

Do you charge HST?

Sorry folks, the government always gets their little cut.

Can we pay in installments?

Yes you can. We often have clients who prefer to make several smaller payments instead of paying a larger lump sum. We don’t charge any extra fees for this. If we can help you manage your wedding payments and reduce some potential stress, we are happy to do so.

Are engagement photos included in your wedding packages?

All our local full day packages included engagement photos.  Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for us to work together before the big day. Sessions generally take between 1 and 2 hours. Engagement sessions can also be purchased separately.

Do you charge travel fees?

This depends on your wedding location. We don’t usually charge travel fees for weddings in our normal service area which includes anything from Windsor to Muskoka. Have I mentioned we love Muskoka weddings? In some cases, like multi-day weddings, limited travel fees may be required to cover accommodations. Please contact us to discuss travel and destination weddings.

Do you do LGBTQ weddings?

Certainly! We believe that everyone deserves amazing photos on their wedding day. All love is beautiful. So, whether you are straight, lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, or identify otherwise, we’d love to hear your story and record your marriage celebration.

How long does it take to get our wedding photos?

We are often quicker, but you should allow 10-12 weeks for your edited digital images.  We know you’re excited to relive those moments and we normally provide a “sneak peek” of a few images shortly after the wedding.  After the sneak peek though, we do our best to service our clients in order.

Can we order prints through you?

Certainly! While we provide you with hi-resolution images, we do recommend printing through us.  We work with professional photo labs and can offer you heirloom and archival-quality prints that aren’t typically available to the general public. We also have a lot more control over the quality and colour of the prints. We can even do canvas and acrylic prints.

Are you insured?

Yes.  We carry both liability and equipment insurance to protect ourselves and to protect you.

What happens if you are sick?

We’ve never had to cancel a wedding shoot.  We’ve shot through flus and even pneumonia.  We know how important this day is to you and we do everything we can to ensure we are in good health and can make good on our promises.  If there was ever an emergency that prevented us from being there, we have great relationships with other photographers who would gladly step up and lend us a hand.
